Spicy Yoghurt has released its first brush pack for Affinity Designer. And the good news is, it's available as a free download. With these pen brushes, you can draw on a digital canvas just like you would with a real pen. Try them out now!
Not too long ago, we reported that we'd abandoned Inkscape and made the switch to Affinity Designer as our new go-to tool for creating vector art. We've been experimenting with this new toy for a while now and have created some nice artwork. Along the way we've developed some custom brushes and decided to share them with you guys.
You know the little doodles you made when you were bored during class? Those doodles on the inside covers of your books always had small imperfections. That style is hard to recreate on a digital canvas, because most lines in a vector program are perfectly smooth. That's where this brush pack comes in! It helps you get the look of a real pen in your digital drawings. With these brushes, lines are never perfect. And in this case, that's exactly what you want.
The brush pack contains a total of 29 high-resolution pen brushes. Some draw a rough, hand-drawn line, and others repeat a small pattern along the line, like crosses, waves or loops.
